So the latest craze is to get fuller looking lips but sucking on some red lip shape thing for a few minutes until they swell up and sorta bruise? I don’t get it…
Thanks to Kylie Jenner, a lot of girls are trying out this new fad in hopes that they can get the same look as she has. Surely they realise its either plastic surgery or just really good makeup?
So I looked it up, and the process, and the cost of these little weird bottle cap things. The leading website, is offering them for $49.99 and if you ask me that’s a bit much to be paying for a bottle cap. As you can tell, I’m not a fan of this in any way. But I tried it out anyway.
Instead of paying $50 for some bottle caps, I just use one I already had at home. So I sucked air out of a bottle cap, holding it for about 10-20 seconds and then repeating and I must say it works (despite the red ring around my mouth). On the website I used for research (http://fullips.com/) their videos say that it lasts at least three to four hours. So is this pain really worth it for such a short amount of time? I’m not convinced.
I personally do not want to carry around little ‘lip enhancers’ in my makeup wherever I go just to make sure I don’t lose that ‘full lip’ effect. If I cared enough to have full lips then I would save up and get them done professionally by a plastic surgeon, mostly so that I would have to worry so much about re-doing it every few hours.
But girls seem to be going crazy for it, so I guess I’m just gonna sit this craze out.
